You can trigger information from any database to virtually any third-party system (especially with the help of applications like https://zapier.com).
To add a webhook to a database in Finepoints CRM:
1. Click Database manager
2. On the Database in question click options, then select Configure Webhook.
Distribution method: Webhook specifies that you wish to transmit the data via API alternatively you can choose email where it sends the data as an email.
Trigger: Choose from when a field is updated, when a webform is completed OR when our datacapture plugin is used. This basically tells Finepoints CRM when you wish to transmit data.
In the example above you can see we're using updated field and we've selected outcome as the option and that we instructed the system to trigger when outcome goes from Any to Positive.
Segment: Allows you to apply the trigger under any segment for example you may wish to trigger to a segment of your data such as only apply webhooks to leads that contain London in location.
POST TO: Enter the webhook URL, tools like google sheets or Zapier will provide you with a webhook url to send data to.
Max Per Day: This basically limits the number of webhooks that are triggered per day.
The mapping tab gives you powerful flexibility to map your fields to any third party receiving system. For example if you use mailchimp and you want to trigger information to them their fields will have different names to yours, you can input these in the destination input box.
Another way of thinking about this is if you use google docs and want to build a spreadsheet. Your google sheets columns will have headings these would be identified as the destination columns.
The log tab simply shows successful or failed webhooks.
